Synopsis
Gretchen follows Lenny and his girlfriend Lily as they head into the woods for what appears to be a quiet, romantic escape. Unbeknownst to Lily, Lenny has another reason for the trip. He is obsessed with a viral social media trend that dares people to summon a local legend known as Gretchen, a figure said to bring terror rather than luck. What makes the night even more dangerous is where they are standing. The land they have chosen is tied directly to the origin of the legend itself. As the ritual begins, doubt, fear, and guilt start to creep in, and the line between story and reality begins to blur. Gretchen is a tense horror story about trust, deception, and the risks of treating ancient myths as entertainment.
