We have joined the Film Festival Alliance
We’re proud to announce that Glowflare Short Film Festival has officially been accepted as a member of the Film Festival Alliance. This is a major milestone for us as we prepare for the festival’s third year, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us reach this point.
The Film Festival Alliance brings together festivals that share a commitment to professional standards, accessibility, inclusion, ethical relationships with filmmakers, and the continued support of independent cinema. Becoming a member reflects the values we have worked to build Glowflare around from the beginning.
A Milestone for Glowflare
Glowflare started with a simple idea: to create a welcoming and supportive festival where filmmakers could share their work, connect with audiences, and celebrate short-form cinema. Since then, the festival has grown far beyond what we first imagined.
Filmmakers from around the world have trusted us with their work, audiences have joined us to discover new stories, and our community has continued to grow with each edition. Being accepted into the Film Festival Alliance is an important moment in that journey.

What Comes Next
Although this recognition is an exciting step forward, our focus remains the same. We will continue working to create an inclusive, professional, accessible and filmmaker-friendly festival experience. Supporting emerging voices, bold ideas and independent storytelling will remain at the heart of everything we do.
Short films are one of the most exciting and creative parts of modern cinema. They give filmmakers the freedom to experiment, take risks and tell stories that may not otherwise find a platform. We’re proud to play a part in supporting that work.
Looking Ahead to March 2027
We are now developing the next edition of Glowflare Short Film Festival, which will take place in March 2027. There is plenty more to share over the coming months as plans for the festival continue to take shape. For now, we want to thank every filmmaker, audience member, partner, volunteer and supporter who has been part of the Glowflare journey so far. We’re incredibly proud of this milestone, and we’re excited about what comes next.
