Apocalips
Hidden from a post apocalyptic world inside a metal bunker, a young deaf girl is forced to question her isolation when a scavenger offers a chance to leave and face the unknown.
Synopsis
Apocalips centres on Clara, a young deaf girl surviving alone in a post apocalyptic world, hidden deep within the confines of a metal bunker. Cut off from the chaos outside, her existence is shaped by isolation, routine, and silence, offering a fragile sense of control in an environment defined by collapse. The bunker becomes both refuge and prison, shielding her from danger while reinforcing her separation from the world beyond its walls. When Marco, a lone scavenger navigating the ruins above ground, discovers her shelter, Clara’s carefully maintained isolation is disrupted. His presence introduces the possibility of connection, but also uncertainty, forcing Clara to confront the risks of trust in a world where survival often comes at a cost. As their paths begin to intertwine, the film explores vulnerability, communication beyond language, and the tension between safety and the unknown. Through restrained storytelling and atmosphere driven visuals, Apocalips reflects on survival not only as endurance, but as the courage to step beyond fear and imagine what might come next.
